Poured stout black with scant head, curiously as it shows carbonation the entire drink.
The aroma was cinnamon, probably some roasted malts too but cinnamon is front and center.
The taste, well there is certainly cinnamon but it was actually pretty well balanced with the other flavors and didn’t overwhelm the beer. I found myself enjoying it more than I expected.
The feel was surprisingly viscous, almost like they put chocolate in the beer. Not thick, but it definitely had body.
OA, my wife brought me this back from Colorado and I didn’t think I would like it much, but it is well balanced and very flavorful. I’d buy it if I can find it in Michigan.

There is some yellow text on the neck of the bottle but it is squished and can't be interpreted into a date.
Appearance: The body of the beer is black and it has a large head that has a light-khaki color. It has good retention and some camouflage spots for lacing.
Aroma: It smells like cinnamon as soon as the nose approaches. Nothing else comes through, but the cinnamon does smell nice.
Taste: A strong cinnamon flavor comes through up front. There is a slightly earthy flavor in the middle of the palate. Towards the back of the palate it picks up an ancho chili powder kind-of flavor with earthy notes and some heat. The aftertaste is spicy chili.
Mouthfeel: It has a medium body with just a little bit of roasted bitterness that is barely noticeable. The beer has a bit of a sweetness that the low bitterness doesn't cut through very well. It has a nice bite of heat.
Overall: It is a tasty beer with a nice hot bite to it. The label states "Ingredients: Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, lactose, rolled oats, hops, brown sugar, cocoa, chili powder, cinnamon, cayenne, yeast." It does have the heat and earthy characters from the chili powder, cayenne, and even possibly the cinnamon. The cinnamon definitely comes through. The beer is a bit on the sweeter side and while the heat does a nice job of cutting through the beer, it lacks a little bitterness to balance things out. Still it is a good beer and I would buy it again. I recommend it.

I haven't had a beer this amazing in some time. Usually most stouts taste the same to me (especially the ones with crazy nondescript names like I have been seeing), but this one managed to pull off something I have never imagined...mellow malty cocoa sweetness with a spicy kick. Truly lives up to its name. I actually created my account on this site to pay homage to this beer. And the cocoa flavor...its the real deal.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip
A- pours black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring
S- chili pepper and cinnamon lead the aroma, with undertones of chocolate, milk sugars and charred malt
T- cinnamon and cocoa notes up front are followed by a sweet note of milk sugars that adds a hint of vanilla. Mid-palate brings out notes of pepper skin that adds a bit of heat. The finish gives more cinnamon and chocolate, with a linger of roasted malt and ilk sugar
M- medium-light body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns creamy into the finish, heat from the pepper lingers

Bottle poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours dark brown with slight mahogany tones and a somewhat creamy tan head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little thin lacing.
S: Roasty, dark chocolate, coffee, and a touch of char, strong hints of cinnamon and peppers, but largely lurking under the surface, and tied together with a little dark sugar sweetness.
T: Roasty, a touch of char, dark chocolate, espresso, cinnamon, dried pepper spice works its way to the front as it warms, slightly nutty undertones, rounded out with a little dark sugar sweetness.
M: A touch on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly creamy with a pleasant pepper warmth, though never overwhelming with heat.
O: Probably my favorite beer in the Milk Box case. Fun flavor combo with some personality. Would love to see this one brought back "imperialized" at like 7.5-8% and on nitro. Super fun one to try.

I think this is the first pepper beer I could probably session a few just the right amount of spice to elevate the chocolate, enough cinnamon spice to keep it interesting, and sweet enough to bring the whole thing together, A great milk stout one should try!

This is a very enjoyable beer. Perfect amount of cinnamon spice and pepper kick. Flavor and aroma reminds me of Indian cuisine. With occasional hints of very pleasant cocoa.

12oz bottle. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left minimal traces of lace on the glass. It smelled of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and sweet milk chocolate. Bold cinnamon heat with vanilla, chocolate and toffee.

Nothing too special but does a nice job incorporating the chili flavors. Reminds me of a more spicy version of Aún Más Todo Jesús

Released October 2021; drank 11/30/21 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
Cinnamon, cream, chocolate & faint smoke notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Cinnamon, cream, chocolate & faint pepper heat.
Not my style, and not transcendent, but it's worth a quaff.
