The pour is hickory colored with an adequate amount of carbonation. The taste is brown bread crust, grains, molasses, tobacco, along with some earthy herbal notes. Moreover, there is no date on the can. Overall, this style of lager is hit or miss with me but this one up to par. Cheers! B

This is another new style for Left Hand, and they did a pretty good job with it. There is a subtle hop presence at first, and then you get the sweetness on the back end. I'd say it's a fairly representative Vienna lager, and it will be good and gone from my fridge before too much longer, as I'll enjoy this seasonal quickly.

A: crystal clear; bronze in color; with a fairly aggressive pour, a one finger fizzy light tan head that receded quickly to a wispy cap with a moderate collar; light lacing;

S: sweet malt with a little toast;

T: sweet malt up front; some caramel gets added in at the middle and stays through the mildly bitter finish;

M: medium bodied; light to moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish that continued to dry out through the aftertaste;

O: a little too sweet for my taste;

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of caramel, roasted malt, toffee and some floral notes. Sweet caramel taste with a mild bitterness.

Appearance: Dark amber-hued body with an inch or so of lasting, ivory-toned froth.

Smell: A well-represented note of straight-up toast with some nice caramelized accents, a light/low fruitiness and some subtle herbal, floral hops.

Taste: Bready, toasty with an initial cereal, light caramel sweetness that steadily drops off for a light herbal, floral hoppiness with an incoming mild bitterness. Dry, toasty finish with lingering hints of herb.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation.

Overall: OK.
