Smell bears much of the usual roasty mocha-cacao you might expect out of a stout. The initial taste is creamy, followed by relatively sweet chocolate and just a bit of coconut. Overall has a body that's very roasty, malty, and just a bit sweet and coconut-ty, it tastes much like an average, solid stout with just a slight twang of coconut and not much of that creaminess you might expect out of a milk stout. Not bad but not something to really seek out

Good smelling, good tasting stout but if you put something in the name I expect it to show up in the flavor and smell. Coconut is there if you really concentrate on finding it but not very prevalent.

Dark opaque color when poured from the can. Decent amount of foam. Tastes of milk chocolate and sweet coconut. Mild aftertaste. Pretty good stout!

Where's the coconut? Pretty weak. A good stout, not great. Short on lactose, though. Smooth foam head goes away in a minute, not rocky and maybe 3/8 inch in a 16oz Tulip with a medium straight pour. Had better Coconut stouts. Should be a 75-78.

Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a deep brown color with a tiny head of grayish colored foam. The head fades super quick, leaving just a few bits of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is big of a nice sweet coconut smell mixed with notes of milk chocolate and crème. Along with these are the expected roasted and toasted malt aromas, along with a touch of coffee and hints of caramel.
Taste – The taste starts with a slightly drier dark roasted malt flavor paired with a subtle coconut crème flavor. There is also a light level of cocoa and some notes of coffee and milk. As the taste advances the coconut gets slightly more pronounced while the sweet raises a bit as well. While the coconut gets a bit more intense, it never becomes overwhelming, just adding a subtle backdrop flavor. Toward the end of the taste transition, light notes of char and wood join in, leaving one with a dark and subtly sweet and coconutty taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is moderate in thickness with a fine and mild carbonation level.
Overall – I rather enjoyed this. I was worried it would be a sugar bomb, but this was very tactfully done. Quite nice.

Canned. Coconut is toasted and not sweetened so it’s almost like a savory note to the sweeter milk stout.

Good two finger head. Nose is muted. Mouthfeel is good and appropriate for a 6% milk stout.

Very nice balance of flavors. I would like to try it on draught.

Man I love stouts but IDK what the heck they are trying to do here. It has a nice burnt taste but that's where it ends. Coconut is the aftertaste. It's not sweet like I figured it would be and it's too harsh. I just can't put my finger on it. Has a battery acid taste and a frat party smell. And that's where the good stuff ends....

12oz can, painted label. Bottom date stamp is 'PACKAGED ON AUG.27.2025'.
Black colored body with a red mahogany back lit edge. Two fingers of creamy tan head reduces, after a few minutes, to a thin cap and ring. Leaves behind some short lacing strings and spots.
Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and coconut.
Taste is sweet but slightly bitter from roasted malts. Flavors of milk chocolate, vanilla, and mostly authentic coconut. Dark roast coffee also contributes to the bitterness. Aftertaste finishes sweet.
Medium mouthfeel. Creamy and smooth through the mouth, with a leftover coating. Minor tongue numbing. Good carbonation.
Sweet stout paired with sweet coconut, it works.

Pairs well with a Maduro cigar. The coconut is a bit much but otherwise I like it.

really coconut forward, but not to the extent of rendering the iconic base beer unrecognizable, which would be a poor choice, its a real natural fusion here, the roast and sweetness really work well together, this is creamy from coconut and lactose together, it has a chocolate dipped decadence to it, lots of body, and i think is nicely composed overall, not gimmicky, and a cool variant of one of my original favorite craft beers. it looks like the original, near black with some shine to it and full but not overly viscous. the nose on this is sweet fatty coconut milk on top of dark chocolate, deep roasted barley, off gassing just roasted espresso beans, and a silky creaminess thats apparent, light raisin and even licorice to me, the coconut seems honest, maybe a little bit toasted, desserty but not diabetic. the flavor is the same, coconut from start to finish, stronger later and at temperature, but more or less consistent, natural, and well dosed, im glad its as forward as it is in here, and even with its sweetness, the overall beer doesnt seem much if any sweeter than the original, which is already pretty sweet, the lactose makes this real smooth and long on the palate, and its not without roasty even charred bitterness for contrast and balance. this seems like such an obvious choice for this milk stout, surprised they didnt do this years ago. some warming coffee at the end, brown sugar, and full fat coconut cream from the can like im about to make a curry. i could drink more than one of these, which i wouldnt have thought, but the flavor is great and its not too much. very enjoyable. i wouldnt take this over the original, doesnt have the permanence or the nostalgia or the complex simplicity, but its close...

I generally trust Left Hand to do a good milk stout as long as they don't try to do too much in one beer (looking at you, french toast milk stout...)

Poured from a 12oz can into a tulip. This is pretty similar to their regular milk stout -- which is good, because the regular Left Hand milk stout is an excellent beer. The coconut is very noticeable in the smell, which resembles Almond Joys, but only shows up in the aftertaste on the tongue. I actually do wish the coconut was more present here.

Pours an effervescent chestnut with 3 + fingers of mocha colored head. Very good head retention & better lacing

S: Coconut, a little coffee

T: Follows the nose, plenty dry/roasty, a touch vanilla & cocoa too up front. Coconut, roasty grains, coconut & dryness as this beer warms up, just a little coffee too. Finishes dry, roasty with coffee & coconut

MF: Medium body, pretty firm carbonation. Carbonation smooths out a bit once warmed up

Pretty easy to drink, I am sucker for a well-done coconut beer. This checks most of the boxes

Appearance: Pours coffee colored with a bit of a bubble show; a one finger mocha head appears and hangs around; speckles of lacing all around

Smell: Chocolate and lactose tones with a nice dose of coconut

Taste: Roasted malt and chocolate forward with the milky lactose element building; after the swallow, the coconut comes through and lingers in the aftertaste

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation

Overall: I love coconut but have been disappointed by many beers that use it as an adjunct; Left Hand did a nice job here
