A large white head with good lacing sits over a pale gold body. Citrus, and more specifically orange, is there to greet the proboscis while still being poured into the glass. After a second or two a spicy, resinous quality evolves. Taste is more "old school" IPA; sticks with the citrus, floral and herbal angle while leaving excessive fruitiness more to the imagination. Good balance in the pleasantly bitter, nicely carbonated mouthfeel.

12oz can packaged on October 1st 2025

On the pour, 2 fingers of slightly off white head form on top of a clear golden amber body. Head retention is pretty dang good. Some decent lacing forms.

Aroma is actually really nice. Subtly sweet with fruity and floral notes backed by a nice fresh piney/spruce aroma. It is slightly malty, but that is hiding in the back. I'm actually quite excited to give this a first sip. This is very fragrant in a very good way.

The flavor isn't quite as impressive as the smell unfortunately, but it is still pretty good. There is a good bit of malty sweetness throughout and honestly not a whole lot of bitterness to balance it. I am getting a good bit of carmel malts, but some of the interesting hop characteristics from the aroma do carry over, albiet not quite as complex.

The feel is actually surprisingly crisp and drinkable for the ABV and how malty the flavor comes across. The finish is relatively long but it isn't heavy. It isn't particularly drying feeling.

Overall this is a decent IPA but after the fantastic aroma the taste was a bit of a letdown. I could smell this beer all day, but maybe not drink it all day.

Notes via stream of consciousness: So what do we have here? The label lists it as an IPA at 6.6% ABV but says nothing else other than to note that it's a seasonal. It's poured a clear, deep-golden/amber colored body beneath a tall fluffy head of rocky white foam. The aroma is warmly citrusy, pineapple-like, and lightly spicy with some "dankness" and a touch of earthiness and pine. The taste follows, but bigger, and with much more pineapple, some sweet mango, some sage-like herbs, and a bit of nectarine. There's apple as well but there's apple in almost every beer, even Budweiser. It's nice. This is another one of those kind of old school but not really old school IPAs. One foot is in solid maltiness and the other is in hops with a modern twist. I have no idea what those might be, by the way. The pineapple is clear upfront and then the "dankness" drops pretty hard, changing it up and giving you a different experience. I love that in a beer; it's much more interesting than one that's the same start to finish. The bitterness is firm to stiff, probably at 40 IBUs or so, and it finishes dry, earthy, herbal, dank, and spicy with everything but mainly the spiciness lingering for a bit. No, I'm wrong, the sage and "weed" linger on even after the spiciness has faded. Yeah, this is really nicely done. The head held up well and it left some very nice lacing. In the mouth it's medium bodied with a bit of a dextrinous feel, and gently crisp. When I saw this I recalled having it on tap in Colorado but I'm clearly mistaken because this is something entirely different. I definitely want to get more of this and I'll have to jump on that if it's a seasonal.

Draft at Gerbes. Poured a clear, golden orange color with a small, tan head of foam. It left sudsy lacing on the glass. It smelled of biscuity malt, orange and resin. Sweet fruity taste with toasted caramel and a piney bite.

Pours a solid gold into a Spiegler IPA glass. Notes of citrus with an after thought of pine on the nose. Flavor that follows with a dank hoppy bite to kick it up. Solid IPA.

Nice gold pour, finger of fluffy foam atop. Nose brings dank and pine.

Taste shows sweet resiny dankness, some citrus, a creamy mouthfeel, light kilned malt, pine needles, just a nibble of pineapple. Finish is dank bitterness with length. Nice beer through out.

From a 12oz can. Canned on Feb. 25, 2025

Beautiful clear golden pouring beer in the glass. There's a 1 finger white head that has quite good retention. When the head dissipates there's minimal lacing on the glass.
The aroma is dominated by the hops. I do get hints of pine in it. I also get a huge dank hit from the nose. The dankness is the main aroma note.
Taste - There's a hint of the dankness that hits my taste buds right away, but, thankfully it isn't as strong as the nose lets on. I am getting some pine notes in the middle of the profile. The finish is somewhat tropical in nature with some melon flavor.
The body is decent. It had a good fullness to it. The hops aren't really sticky feeling, but how they feel does linger in my throat.
Not bad at all. I was worried when smelling it, but the flavor is good.

Look: clear gold, off white creamy head, spotty lacing
Smell: piney, earthy, light citrus
Taste: pine, resin, pineapple, malty sweetness, spice
Feel: med body, moderate carbo, good bitterness
Overall: 6.6% abv. Good bitterness up front. Strong pine carries throughout. A little pineapple in there but more malty sweetness on the end with a spice note. "Natural flavors" listed as one of the ingredients. Perhaps the spice note is coming from that. This solid brew pairs well with Cult of Personality by Living Colour.

Aroma is extremely dank hops and a hint of sweet citrus. The flavor is fruit, sweet citrus, malts/slight grains and a very strong dank/piney/slightly nutty hop finish.
