Good beer from Wasserhund. Clearly categorized wrong here as a Wheat Beer - American Pale. The .abv is off too. This beer is 8.4% abv as listed on the can. This is an IPA -Imperial. The can says Summer Fetch Double IPA. The brewers web site calls it Summer Fetch Citrus Honey Wheat but both the can and the web site list it at 8.4% .abv and as an Imperial or Double IPA. I poured this beer from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass. The color is a hazy apricot color with a big foamy white head. Head retention is excellent. There is a layer of foam from beginning to end. Thick bands of lacing are long lasting too. Aroma and taste feature wheat, orange and orange zest and honey as stated on the can. There is a moderate level of bitterness, more than just from the wheat. This is a moderately hoppy beer although the strong orange flavor and sweetness are a counterbalance to the hoppiness. Mouthfeel is rich, crisp and moderately bitter but with an overall sweetness too!!! An unusual take on an Imperial IPA, but a good one!!!!

Poured a pale, cloudy gold body. Mild yeast and wheat notes in the aroma with minimal citric hops, too.
Orange, sharp, citric hop flavors that are balanced with a yeast/wheat sweetness and fuller body make for an enjoyable, easy drinking wheat ale.
