From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 02042019 11:23:24"
Appearance: The beer is black with a large khaki head. The head has a creamy and foamy consistency which looks amazing. Fantastic head retention and lacing. It looks beautiful in the glass.
Aroma: There are light notes of chocolate and burnt wood.
Taste: The beer has a very nice bitter chocolate flavor with an underlying chocolate liqueur flavor. This is mixed with a strong carbon finish.
Mouthfeel: It is full bodied and smooth with a strong bitterness stemming from the grains.
Overall: The can says that this was made with "7 lbs of freshly cooked bacon per barrel" but the bacon doesn't seem to make an appearance at all. The beer is a really nice American Imperial Stout but it fails to deliver on its promise. I really enjoyed this beer and I would recommend it, but I would not recommend it to people looking for bacon flavor.

My first beer from this local brewer. Beautiful graphics on a 16 oz can. Pours a dense black color with no light coming through. Big dark tan head with good retention and wide bands of filmy lacing on the glass. A good looking beer. Aroma includes chocolate and floral aromatic scent. A hint of smokiness is there too. Taste shows a bit of lactose, some smokiness and a lot of chocolate. in a nice malty beer. Mouthfeel is the best aspect, smooth like most oatmeal stouts with a richness that highlights the flavors. No hint of the alcohol. A good slow sipper with strong flavor. Without being a high octane/.abv bomb.

L) Pours a lovely dark espresso with a creamy khaki head. Good retention and lacing.
S) Baker's chocolate, a bit of coffee, and a bit of bacon comprise the nose. It is inviting, but surprisingly not strong.
T) The taste is dark and baker chocolate forward, with notes of java in the background. It is quite dry surprisingly, and u can get a bit of bacon, but not a large amount at all.
F) This brew has a rich creamy mouthfeel, it is a pleasure to sip, and has a great medium carbonation for how drinkable the brew is.
O) Really solid brew, I wish the bacon was even more evident though. Paired with a cheesy bacon chicken pot pie (but tried before eating the pie at all). Great end to an evening.

Poured a black body with frothy head and lace. The aroma and taste/mouthfeel share the same qualities so to summarize this is a slightly dry, meaty beer that has a bittersweet chocolate taste that offers some balance. Finishes dry which is ok since this is a thick, slow-sipping beer.
