From the outer edge of the bottom rim of the can: "CANNED 07/11/24"

Appearance: It has a very nice color that is somewhat purple and pink with a good deal of red as well. It looks to have pretty good clarity and the body is somewhat dark but shadows are visible through the glass and it wouldn't be too difficult to read through either. It has a medium-sized fluffy pink head that has very good retention but it leaves no lacing.

Aroma: When the beer sits on the counter it emits a somewhat nondescript berry fruit aroma. It smells a bit like strawberries at times. Closer to the nose it has a bit of strawberry, pomegranate, and even a touch of cherry aroma.

Taste: It has a bit of a cherry flavor up front which is followed by some cream of wheat flavor. The flavors stay simple and strong as they pass over the palate.

Mouthfeel: It is a medium-light bodied beer with a nice refreshing finish. It is very drinkable. There is a very mild acidity and a very mild root-like bitterness.

Overall: It is a very outstanding and well-made beer. The label on the can simply states "BOYSENBERRY GOSE" and it has a lot of fruity character that ranges from strawberry to cherry. As a Gose it's a well made beer as well. It is simple, fruity, and easy to enjoy. I would highly recommend it to those who might be looking for an enjoyable fruit beer.

 

From the can, it pours a hazy pinkish dark amber color with a pinkish off-white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. In the nose, it is fruity, both tart and sweet. In the mouth, it is eccentric, with notes of fruitiness (possibly boysenberry) and malt.

A: cranberry in color with a light pink head on top.

S: berry, sea salt, and.. caramel? Slight acid in the finish.

T: berry, with a little bit of funk, and perhaps just a hobby of salt.

M: fairly thin with low carbonation and a dry finish.

O: overall pretty decent. Nice fruit, decent tartness.

I am always surprised to see how popular Gose's have become. The modern version comes with various fruits and are more flavorful than the traditional ones but they still feature some wheat bitterness and saltiness. This beer comes in a 12 oz can and I poured it into a flute to enjoy the carbonation. Unleashed features a reddish pink body and a fizzy pink head. the colors look nice but I always get a nasty flashback to the vile Bud Chelada that has a similar color. The head is medium sized with average retention. Not much in the way of lacing and a lot of carbonation/bubbles. Aroma is fruity - both tart and sweet. Flavor includes the fruit which is quite prominent. There is both tartness and sweetness - I am unfamiliar with boysenberry. Flavor includes the fruit but salt is easily detectable and so is bitterness from the wheat. Mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing. Carbonation level is just right. I had two of these on Christmas Day with Prime Rib, but it would be best enjoyed as a summer beer. I thought it was pretty good!!!!
