In the 2023 beer advent calendar.

Nothing against it, per se, but there's not much special going on here either. It has malt sweetness, it has a nice color, and it is easy to drink. But it's also easy to forget.

Appearance: Pours a nearly clear, yellow-hued body with just over an inch of soft, snow white foam.

Smell: A rather clean scent yielding just a hint of barley grain amidst little touches of fruitiness and hops.

Taste: A little bit of barley, fairly clean and neutral beyond slight grainy accent. Minimally sweet. Minute fruitiness, a little twinge of hops and bitterness. Reasonable clean and crisp finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: A light-leaning, nigh lager-esque blonde for a great-drinking summertime beer.

Had Basecamp poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "09/07/21," into nonic pint.

Pours light-to-medium gold with clarity and two fingers of fizzing near-white head, with good retention, leaving some splotchy lace down the glass. Light aromas of stone fruit and mild malt off the pour, and then some grassy hops. Begins clean, crisp and fruity, soon revealing a very light malt backbone, which carries some crisp but not bitter hops, before turning smooth and very dry in the finish.

My first new American Blonde in quite a while, this beer is almost German in its deft, light touch with hops and malt.

I believe it's been renamed backporch(edit:Basecamp)blonde or something like that. GREAT BEER. Nice golden color. Perfect IBU's here.. just enough to give it that nice bitter hop flavor, but it's a blonde so it's very subdued that way, but overall, this beer POPS! Has the typical, but good, sweet Hutton backbone familiar in most of their brews... I've had a good 12-14 blonde's this early spring, and this might be the best. I've had some bad ones, but this brew is aces. Utterly poundable.. Hutton & Smith is making fantastic tasting beer.
