Really wish I had a much more fresh sample. This one is almost 12 months old. Seems like a lower key APA with more melon and spicy notes. Drinks nicely at 6%. This is a decent brewery in Chattanooga, TN. Well worth checking out.

Look: Golden yellow with a decent one finger head of dense suds, laces the glass lightly.
Aroma: Toasted bread and caramel malt. A bit of grapefruit oil.
Taste: Malty and chewy with a tropical, zesty and citrusy bite. Dense caramel flavors that transition into bitter fruit. Finish is honeydew melon and orange.
Feel: Heavy with low carbonation. Chewy and dense.
Overall: Thirst quenching and satisfying little pale ale. Decent.

Had The Good Schist at Taco Mamacita, Chattanooga, on draft into tumbler, and then poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "05/26/2021," into nonic pint.
Pours light-medium gold with clarity and creamy (on draft) but also a bit bubbly (from the can) 1- to 2-finger near-white head, with good retention, leaving nice splotchy lace. Nice aroma of stone fruit and some hop spice. Begins with a little dry hop spice, then lovely stone fruit and slightly sweet malt, leading into a nicely balanced, fruity, crisp and slightly spicy finish.
Great beers don't have to be huge or trendy or gimmicky. Some just nail it.

Got it on tap at the Chattanooga Choo Choo - Frothy Monkey. I can say without a doubt that this beer was some good schist. Will definitely get it again!

Poured from a 12 oz can into a snifter. Looks like a typical pale ale - slightly hazy amber color with a thick off-white head. Great lacing in the glass. The aroma was there as I cracked the can open - always a good sign. Strawberries, candied tangerines, and oranges were there. The taste featured the above flavors but they were introduced with a sturdy bitterness reminding me that this is an old-school APA. A nice bready malt presence balanced it. Cool fruit flavors like strawberry but not sweet. Dry clean finish. Outstanding APA.
