Had Wee Heavy Metal poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped (likely) canned on "03/19/25," into squat Belgian tulip.
Pours beautiful mahogany with clarity and 2-finger light tan head, which however quickly dissipates to a partial film and thin ring, and finally away, leaving no lace. Mild caramel malt and dark fruit (raisins? Dates?) aromas off pour, then a little spice and some fresh orchard fruit aroma, and maple syrup and growing alcohol aromas as warms. On tasting, begins with a little peaty earthiness, and some of the same dark fruit as in the aroma, but lots of sweet, creamy caramel malt, yet a grainy, bready body, with a little orchard fruit, before a rather warming, crisply hopped, but sweet caramel and maple finish.
The more challenging aspects of Scotch Ales are understated in this complex, surprisingly easy-drinking, big malt bomb, which looks like a fine brandy, and drinks much like one.

I'm trying this beer at the brewery. It poured a hazy amber with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had faint sweet malt notes. The taste was sweeter leaning with caramel malt base and maple syrup accents. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.
