Characterized by smooth chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, and hints of berry in flavor and aroma. Somewhat of a hybrid between Imperial Stout and Baltic Porter. Brewed in celebration of our favorite Michigander,

Had Tina's Stout poured from 12-oz. can, no date but bottom stamped (apparently) "HAPPY BIRTHDAY," into snifter.
Pours absolutely black with 1-finger tan head, with good retention, and a persistent ring and partial film, leaving sketchy lace down the glass. Aromas of milk chocolate, a little roast coffee and (more) sweet fruit off pour, which all drop steadily, except for the persistent chocolate aroma, with a little herbal hop aroma as warms. On tasting, begins smooth and creamy coffee with chocolate, then a (very) little sweet fruit, before a biting, roast malts and lingering, bitter coffee but still mildly chocolate finish.
Surprisingly easy-drinking, deftly but not overwhelmingly chocolate, and sneakily big imperial stout, with a nice long coffee finish.
