Had Michael's West Coast Pils poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped (likely) canned on "04/03/25," into pilsner glass.
Pours light gold with clarity, with a 3-finger, foamy, near-white head, and excellent retention, leaving chunky splotches of lace down the glass. Aromas of mild lime and orange off pour, then some nettlesome herbal aroma, and a little mild but malt aroma, which grows as warms joined by aromas of some sweet and tarter stone fruit, and hop spice. On tasting, begins mildly lime and orange, over a smooth, but very mild malt body, then crispy citrus carries into a moderately bitter herbal, notably fruity finish.
Beautiful use of West Coast hops in this American pilsner, but the balance would benefit from a little bigger malt bill.
