2016 poured from fridge temp. Pours a nice dark brown, with a light tan head that sticks around for a long time. Nose is caramel, whisky, malts, wood, licorice, and maybe a bit of tobacco. Really nice. Can't wait to try it. Taste is sweet whisky, tobacco, coffee, chocolate, caramel, and some bitter dark fruit. To be honest it has a smoky bitterness that does not go well with the other notes. Not my favorite taste on a BA ale. Mouthfeel is medium, and the alcohol is not evident. Overall, not a bad beer.

On tap at the Sori Taproom in helsinki.
Khaki head. Dark brown/Black color.
Very complex. I like that the whiskey is not peat forward. It provides more of the fruity herbal notes from scotch that I like. Strong with some alcohol notes. Orange peel and other fruits show. Caramel and light chocolate. Woody. Vanilla and toffee.
Full bodied. Very enjoyable.

Nice barrel aged strong ale. The peated notes from the scotch are present but not too strong. Nice toffee and vanilla. The hop is noticeable with earthy but also some fine floral notes. Low to moderate carbonation bring a smooth mouthfeel which compliments the taste. The beer is balanced all the way but lacks of complexity. I'd like to have more depth.

A "scotch forward" stout. Aged in Macallan and Glenmorangie whisky barrels. Smooth and malty and slightly sweet.
