Poured from fridge temp. Pours a nice dark brown with light head. Nose is huge on the caramel and cognac. Lots of Werther's candy notes. This smells amazing - right up there with the top BA barley wines (and I have had a lot of them). Also getting a lot of dark fruit and some nice chocolate notes. Taste is incredible. Almost a slight smoky taste upfront, but that quickly evolves into a sweet bourbon-cognac-caramel taste. Spectacular, in my opinion. Lots of caramel and dark fruit, layered with some oak. Mouthfeel is full bodied and creamy. No sign of alcohol. I need to find more of this. Overall, it's an amazing BA barley wine.

Dark red clear colour.
Cognac smell, a bit sweet.
Thin body. Initial sweet taste (caramell, a bit of vanilla, figs). Some coffee. Low bitterness.
Interesting.

Hazy dark amber color with beige head. Aroma has sugary malt and fruits like dates and figs. Taste starts sweet and syrupy and follows with dried dates, figs, raisins and some woody bitterness on the finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Quite nice dried fruit and barrel character.
