Pours reddish dark brown with loads of frothy foam. Smells very tart, vinous, infected. Fairly soft mouthfeel, bit too light. Taste is a bit dusty, some light sourness, bit of sweet yet woody port. Opens up to some chocolate notes and caramel.

Bottle at Las Buenas Pulgas, served in a snifter glass. Black colour, medium off white head with lots of exploding bubbles, fading to a ring around the glass. Creamy lacing. Aroma of port wine, oak, grapes, molasses, prunes, vanilla and chocolate. Full body, dense creamy texture, good carbonation. Taste of port wine, prunes, oak, molasses, vanilla. Delicious. And it will better cellared some years.

Poured from fridge temp, but allowed to warm over 30 min. Pours dark brown/black, with very little head. Nose is caramel and red grapes. Taste is interesting, but not what I would call a wee heavy. It is heavily infiltrated by red grapes, and tastes a bit sour. Getting notes of bread, citrus peel, and red wine. I am looking forward to the whisky-aged version, which I also purchased. That's for next week. This is fairly one dimensional, and is the least favorite of the night. Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Alcohol is not evident, despite being 11% ABV.
