Copenhagen 22/2 2024. 33 cl capped and waxed bottle from Beer Me webshop. A small cartoonish figure interwoven with a birthday cake on the label.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small light beige head. disappears completely after a few seconds leaving a black peaceful fluid behind. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sugary sweet odor of dark malts with a candy-like streak. Toffee, peanutbutter, milk chocolate and brown sugar. Sweet almond liqueur.
Low carbonation. Thick, oily, soft, a bit sticky, viscous texture.
Flavor is intense with a pretty heavy sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sugary sweet. Boozy streak. Lingering. Finish is sugary and laden with alcohol.
Quite the Birthday cake, brunch buffet.
