In the late-1800s Milwaukee began to grow, as did C.T. Melms Brewery. The lifeblood of Milwaukee was our Menomonee River Valley - where C.T. Melms and other business built their fortunes on the banks along the Menomonee River. We celebrate those hard-working, visionary pioneers of Milwaukee's early trade and commerce with a magnificent beer we call River Valley Dark.

While mere words can't do justice to this masterpiece of craft brewing, our Brewmaster CAN tell you this: River Valley Dark is a Belgian Dark Session - A Belgian ale with characteristics typical of a Belgian Dark Strong with less alcohol and intense flavors so it can be enjoyed by the pint. This rich, malty beer consists of dark fruits, toffee and spicy characteristics to provide a complex beer that is easy to drink.
