Drunk on tap at Hotel Adler in Niederdorf/Villabassa. A beer I had a few years ago, before I was really familiar with the style, and didn't much care for.
Looks like a classic spezialbier/exportbier. Transparent gold with considerable white foam.
Faint but sweet malt aroma. Some subtle hops.
Well rounded full body with rich pale malts as the predominant flavor. Just feels like a little bit "more" than most other beers in the area. Very subtle hops. No adjuncts.
Worth downing a few if you're in the Val Pusteria/Pustertal area of Italy.
