A: Coppery, burnt sienna. Good clarity although it can look muddled like a crumbled pecan at times. The head is a sea of rolling foam, if not a rocky sea. Head retention goof considering adjuncts with some nice lacing.
S: Like attending a Fall themed bake sale. Aromas of pome fruit, honey and molasses, rich and malty brown bread, bergamot biscuits, and the ethereal warmth of allspice, cinnamon and ginger.
M: Med-light body. Very smooth, creamy, excellent carbonation, which hides any alcohol warmth. Best suited for a cool, but not chilly Fall evening. Light and bright enough for an afternoon.
T: A Belgian pale is a great base beer for a Fall/pumpkin flavors. it brings a perfect balance of a honey, toasted wheat, orange zest, and light caramel. There's also a strawberry bubblegum element that sets off a nice floral contrast to the earthy/vegetal characteristics of an autumn harvested squash. Starts rather fruity and sweet with the overall impression of a molasses colored pumpkin muffin/bread. Finish has some bitterness and citrus peel; and, a spicier--clove-cinnamon-ginger--component.
