Cloudy pecan brown with copper penny highlights. Khaki-lion head. Creamy to start, diminishes quickly. Lots of caramel in the aroma to start. Likewise, flavor is heavily caramel with honey glazed walnuts and smoked almonds that portend a slight roast. Fruity esters are low featuring some plums, and cocoa dusted cherries. Enough rye/minimal hop spiciness and toasted pumpernickel to make it multidimensional. Less than heavy feel; easy to drink given the ABV; med. body, very well attenuated with an oaken tannin finish.
