De Tercertiempocervezas. En copa Teku. Viendo Mr Robot 1x10. Extrañamente dado el tiempo que hace que la adquiri (2016), mas que una baltic porter me parece una black ipa bien rica y adictiva. Como seria fresca?

Had this beer with lunch at the Cerveceria La Mayor in Madrid near the Palacio Real. If you see my other beer posts, you can see that I am a fan of the dark side of beers. The style name on this beer is accurate, Baltic Porter which puts it on the light heavyweight side of porters. I liked the higher than typical carbonation on this brew. Bubbles play well with many foods, like my charcuterie and cheese plate that was my lunch. I didn't find the pears or licorce flavors mentioned in the other two reviews on this beer. My "odd" flavor would be chickory like the addition to strong southern coffee. I found the beer to be drinkable enough that I went back for a second one to go with my lunch.
This location, Cevercia La Mayor in Madrid has an excellent beer list and their food was quite good too. Check it out if you visit Madrid.

Dark colour, big head with long retention, good lace.
Smokey aroma, with berries, chocolate, coffee, licorice and pears?
Medium body, creamy earthy flavour. Good carbonation. Smokey sweet finish.
Taste is smokey too, coffee, chocolate, licorice.
Warming good beer.

33cl brown glass bottle from BierCaB Barthelona.
Opaque black body. Minimal head.
Chocolate malts, dark malt sweetness, cream. Balanced but reticent.
Medium to full-bodied, smooth, wet, well-carbonated.
Drinkable and enjoyable, but wanting. I wouldn't buy it again at its price point, but it's worth trying once.
