This German style rauchbier is a nice addition to the SP lineup. The smoked malts really come out in the aroma. The deep red color is reminiscent of the namesake. The smoky bacon flavor is reminiscent of Alaksan BC’s smoked porter with a sweet malt and sharp hop twang in the finish. Excellent.
