From the bottle:
Opia is a summery and fruity IPA which is single hopped with Citra. 6.2% abv; IBU 100+
Ingredients: Barley oats, water, hops and yeast
Impressive three-finger head, slow to recede and leaves a blanket layer of lace on the glass. The liquid is dark amber/light brown. It appears to be hazy.
Strong earthy aroma. It’s almost like whipped up mud. I actually smell dirt.
Starts with a deep toast and dark bread flavor. Good hop finish with a long lasting, bitter aftertaste. The earthiness in the smell is a bit muted, but still present. The body is solid and the carbonation a bit below average.
Overall, I’d describe this as a chewy IPA. There’s a lot to it, but not all of it what I would want from an IPA.
