On cask at the source.
Slightly hazy auburn color with a frothy rocky white head that persists. The cedar adds a few shades of color and its very evident in a side by side viewing. Spicy peppery earthy resinous nose with very little malt evident. The cedar is front and center on the nose and flavor for me although others I socialized with didn't find it as pungent. The flavor is earthy peppery spicy rye like with a faint herbal almost patchouli flavor. Faint sweet bready malt deep underneath. Its an interesting and well made beer, but something in my palette seems to fixate on the spiciness of the cedar and hides everything else in the beer for me.
