Bursting with aromas of tangerine and pineapple. This east coast meets west coast style IPA has flavors of juicy melon and tangerine thanks to Mandarina Bavaria hops.

Poured from a can to a pint glass. Deep Amber color. Decent head and lacing. Smooth going down, hoppy, but not too hoppy. I would purchase again.

Retired??? Just bought it at Costco. Enjoyed this with a lobster roll and corn on the cob. A nice IPA with really nice hops.

Can to English pint glass.
The appearance was a great looking semi-bright golden yellow color with a sturdy transparency about it. A modest finger's worth of white foamy head sat atop and slowly dissipated. One ring of foamy lace trimmed the top of the glass.
The aroma had some sweet citrus rind and pithy notes and busts open with some floral and piney hops. Super light on the melon and even further underneath some tangerine.
The flavor had a mellow sweet citrusy character trying to play with some tangerine and melon. However, those tangerines and melons seem a bit of a stretch. Semi-malty aftertaste with chewy grassy and citrusy hops.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionable to sipping "in-between" sort of quality. Good carbonation and some bitter harshness invading my tongue. Finishes fairly bitter and quick, some piney dryness.
Overall, decent American IPA maybe again.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a slightly hazed orange amber color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a good sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of some tropical fruit smells of mango and pineapple as well as some citrus aromas of tangerine and grapefruit. Along with these smells comes a bit of herb and some bready malt smells.
Taste – The taste begins with the tropical fruits and the tangerine that were detected in the nose along with a moderately strong showing of some grapefruit hop. Other fruit flavors of a tropical fruit nature develop on the tongue shortly after and create a base taste for the brew. Toward the end the grapefruit hop gets a bit stronger and is joined by some herbal and grassy flavors to leave one with smooth and rather crisp, but somewhat sweeter, taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is high. For the citrus and the hop blend the feel is rather nice and makes this one a refreshing and easy drinking brew overall.
Overall – A rather nice easy drinking IPA. While nothing extra-ordinary it is well worth a try if you have the opportunity.

Pours a slightly hazy amber color without much of a head. Enticing hop aroma with a little graininess. Taste is hop forward with a mellow bitterness balanced with an adequate malt backbone. Fruitiness is somewhat muted which I like, kind of a modern take on an old school IPA This is really good, I would get this again, really enjoyed it.

Revisited on 9/17/22

This doesn't taste much like my original review. Canned 8/9/22 - pours a relatively clear amber color with a short lived head. It seems much maltier to me and the hops are not as prevalent. Uses Mandarina Bavaria hops - I'm not a fan. It's not a bad beer but I can't see myself buying it again, there's much better choices available. I didn't really care for this.

Pint can 4/4/19 Opened on 4/19/19

A very clear gold & copper color looks West coast. An off white foam top is classic AIPA. Slow dissipation and plenty of cover.

The hop aroma is pretty heady...
Tons of sweet tropical fruit, pineapple! Mango, kiwi, strawberry, watermelon....I'm serious, this is one of the boldest fruit- forward style noses I can remember. A light malty scent, slight caramel and grains addition.

As the liquid hit my lips...it was all sweet fruits from the complex hops. Then as it explored my palate further...it was sharp malty grains and dry, earthy- toned hop flavors dominant.

Sharp citrus and dry earthy- grains effect us really huge. There is a rather slick, medium bodied, malty feel in the after affect and taste.
Sharp and citric fruits like grapefruit give it some serious back end bitterness, just like a West Coast IPA does so well. The jazzy fruit flavor and lighter than usual malt presence gives it some minor New England Style traits, but remains mostly West Coast style in my eyes.
