Checked into Great North yesterday and had two 10oz pours of this, at $7.00 each.
Poured in a small sniftah, it was jet black, oily, dark and dense. Had a lovely, creamy mocha head, with solid lacing. Nose had mocha, choco, toffee and maple - very inviting! Body was medium to medium-plus, and it was smooth and creamy going down.
Taste had some choco, coffee, toffee, and then a solid hit of maple. It was easily spotted yet not over the top. Some light bitterness was mixed in with the maple sweetness for a good balance. Also has hints of bourbon lurking in the background. A very nice brew! Prosit!!
