On tap at Barleys in Concord, NH. A malty IPA with lots of herbal bitterness. No sweetness or fruitiness. Clear and amber in color. Great lacing. A two finger head. Aroma is lacking. Medium bodied with a dry finish (not as dry as the taste is hoppy).

Sometimes young red wine that's been loverly-extracted can be unenjoyably tannic. This beer is like that. It has some citrus, malt and caramel notes but the overwhelming impression is too much wood - spruce dominates.
