32oz crowler, sample from the brewery.
Loving the look of this brew, dark reddish amber ... very inviting with a good amount of froth on top. Big bready malt nose with a toasted and smoky element as well. Smooth and creamy, toasted grain, twang of rye, mild caramel, and a modest yet firm smokiness throughout. Very drinkable for all of that and it being a slightly bigger brew. The balance here is spectacular as some hop character comes though.
A real gem here, these are the beers the geeks should be seeking out.
