nobody just makes stout anymore, its always got to be vanilla this, lactose that, coffee over here, maple over there, barrel this way, cherries that way, its obnoxious, and its awesome to have something pretty straight up in my glass here for once. nose of chocolate milk and coffee through the thick off white head, this one really pops on the nose. some dark chocolate too, espresso crema, and maybe some dark wet soil. the flavor is all of that too, maybe a little more residual sugar than i need, but its good, like those chocolate graham crackers from back in the day, do they still make those? it tastes like that, stuck in the gaps between my back teeth and on the roof of my mouth. there has to be some oats in this, and overall is sort of leans english, full bodied and creamy, starchy and earthen, not overly roasty, not much bitterness, but with good natural complexity to be sure. medium body, good carbonation, and a slightly sticky texture when its warmed up. sort of a chocolate milkshake vibe going down late, good beer, its been fun to have a few from these guys, credit to my homie for the hookup. please send beer and not seltzer next time! these guys are cool!

OK stout. Real mild nose. Taste is roasty and bitter and very mild. A little watery. Feel is both thin and sticky, not a great combo.
Not a gross beer, but not one I'd seek out again
