cool art on this. thanks to my homie for sending this can out, and the other ones from these guys, its good to get to know a brewery for the first time by being able to have a few in a row from them. this is solid, hazy but still light, mosaic and nelson, a timeless classic combination, works for me. good execution here, lots of dry hopping but no burn or green vegetal taste, a little more mosaic than nelson to me, which makes it a tad samey, especially without anything of interest in the grain profile, but its easy to drink for the style and very fresh, canned just a few weeks ago. holds its head well, leaves big web rings every time i take a drag, looks a little dull but feels very bright. nose of green banana, canned pineapple, sweet orange, and something weirdly earthy like potato, hard to explain but i dont hate it. the flavor is all hops, supported by some pale wheat malt without a lot of character, smarties candy, lemon balm, waxy raw honey, lilac, and even turmeric in a cool earthy fresh kind of way. i cant taste anything in the ferment, but this is off dry, leaving a little late sweetness to extend the hops, im fine with that. nelson lost a little to mosaic, but this is excellent beer. looking forward to trying more from cooperage, these have been solid thus far!
