DATE: August 25, 2018... OCCASION: The Sharknado phenomenon comes to a close, and Shan and I are excited to watch it jump itself... GLASSWARE: Duvel tulip... pours from a 16 oz. can a dark orange, opaque body that sports a reasonably-sized sudsy, smeary off-white head... it settles into a hazy smear at a quarter inch... peach, grapefruit, robust flowers, some earthy hints of dank basement and tilled soil or vegetable roots... light spices as well--pepper and anise... some grainy notes as well... this manages the teeth well, shaking them like a storm, moving past them with medium engagement, then burrowing with a significantly weighty aftertaste, sharp and staying... BiG peach and grapefruit in this one, with other citric effects causing the mouth to water with maximum juiciness... a cloying aspect detracts from the overall experience, while apple and pear expands the profile... this is a solid, strong, slow sipper that pairs well with two-hour films...

Very dark amber pour, looks like a brown ale. Sweet fruity taste. Nice beer being canned only 3 days ago.
