DATE: May 9, 2026... OCCASION: watching Company Retreat with Shan--and looking forward to a second pilsner from Czig Meister... GLASSWARE: pilsner glass... a light golden straw body swirls a flurry of bubbles that build a three-fingered white froth that holds firm long after its pour... lemon zest, freshly mown hay, German hop spiciness, bright bread grains, light copper, hard fruits, and banana suggest a mellow, clean draw... its first sip is soft, welcoming, and refreshing--wet and easy on the tongue, dry and swift on the back end... its flavor profile is lemon, grass, garden herbs, pepper, banana, and pear... an easy-drinking, refreshing, spring offering with crisp bread malts, spiciness, and enough Hallertau to earn the appellation "German"...
