Served in a becker glass
This beer pours brown as the style would suggest. When held to the light it has ruby and burnt orange highlights. It is topped with a couple inches of tan head that leaves nice lacing.
The aroma is earthy with light chocolate notes. I get some toast.
There are flavors of toasted grain and chocolate with hints of cherry and coffee.
Medium to thin body and feel
This is the second 1803 beer that I have tried. Both have been traditional and true to style. If you're into old school classics then check them out.
