So, this is promoted as a "COFFEE LAGER" by the brewery and a "LAGER: Winter" by Untappd. The closest allowable style by BA standards seemed to be American Amber/Red Lager. Thus..........
Nice pour. Almost a coppery appearance; thin, tan, but persistent ring and very thin, delicate lacing.
Enticing nose of sweet malts and coffee.
Drinks like a vienna at times....red lager, I suppose, in other sips. Frankly, it IS its own thing. Certainly malty, caramelly (lightly), relatively sweet, a bit of toast. Coffee is present, esp. as it warms, but presence is lighter than the nose implies (perhaps a good thing for drinkability?).
Could use some more carbonation. Too smooth for the profile.
Overall, a nice change-up!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
