Nice yellow beer, nothing special about the look, smell is that of light soap, and grasses maybe, its hard to notice any layers of aroma beyond the light soap, taste is not bad, bitter honey, bread crust, and lemons, not bad, but not exceptionally great either, good, very sessionable beer for warmer weather. I could drink 20 of these there so light and not to big on flavor, very subtle.

Pours very pale straw/yellow with thin white head that disappeared rather quickly. Roma faint but nice, grainy and a little sweet. This one had minimal carbonation. Taste is pleasant but bland other than a little hop bitterness at the finish. Good for a quick cold one.

12 oz

Pours a clear straw golden, sugar white head retains well as a film.

Smells of buttered cracker malts, a bit grassy with some citrus.

Tastes of buttered biscuit, cereal grains, and a light grassy citrus finish.

Medium body with tingly carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

This is a pretty decent lighter ale that doesn't have too much to it, but is solid across the board. Worst thing about it would be that it's forgettable. Would pair pretty well with food, a burger or a hot dog for example. Pretty good session candidate too.

I was at Rusty Rail BC on a press junket to support the opening of the River Rat Ale Trail in Columbia & Montour counties earlier in the year when these were gifted to me. I know that The Bros like transparency when it comes to this sort of thing. A few bottles to break up the excitement of The CANQuest (tm) ...

From the bottle: "At the end of a long work day you deserve to take off your gloves, pry off your boots and enjoy a little refreshment. Our crisp, blonde ale has been brewed to deliver both the drinkability you desire and the flavor you crave. So kick back, pop a top and enjoy the only blonde that will never turn you down!"

I Pop!ped the cap and let go with an aggro pour for no other reason than I could. This brought forth three-plus fingers of dense, puffy, rocky, eggshell-white head with decent retention. Color was a slightly-hazy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose had a grainy sweetness, kind of cereal-like. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was light and crisp, kind of reminiscent of a kolsch, lightly malty, semi-sweet, nothing startling. Finish remained semi-sweet with a crackery, bready taste that was highly refreshing on a hot summer evening.
