Ample and sustaining, tan head. Pretty dark auburn and chestnut color. Faint, medium toasted wood and medium caramel malt, to the aroma. An odd malty little bite, with medium dark roast grains, with a non-sweet, light syrup feel & taste.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is brown, head is light tan, head presents 1+ finger thick with fine bubbles and then laces the glass well; head remains a solid top at 1/4 inch thick.
Smell is clean, neutral malt with some light caramel, light saltiness.
Taste follows with similar clean malt flavors, light toast, light caramel, light wheat, salt is noticeable in the flavor.
Mouthfeel is light/moderate carbonation, light sweetness, fullness from the salt on the tongue that is strong and lingers.
Overall a beer that lives up to its name - brown ale characteristics are subdued by the saltiness, strength is barely imperceptible.

"Defined as an imperial wheat ale brewed with sea salt and natural flavors"
Look like a brown color deep shade clear with a 1/2 inch of froth. Smells like an old ale a bit of bready backbone and mild bittering salt. Taste to me more like an imperial brown or old ale. Semi sour dough notes slightly sweet yet bitter not much wheat and a good mildly salty taste. Taste is as advertised like a salted sourdough pretzel. Body is quite smooth medium bodied and kind of chewy. Not sure if I could drink more than one a sitting but a very interesting beer regardless!
