Got Ozzylizard in BIF. No can dating into Pint glass. Pours fairly hazy orange copper color with a 2 finger off white head with great retention and lacing down the glass. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, cream, and brown bread. Great dessert type nose. Taste of pumpkin, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, ginger, brown bread, caramel, brown sugar, peppercorn, light pine/dark fruit, herbal, grass, yeast earthiness. Light herbal bitterness and spiciness on the finish. Medium carb and body. Creamy silky malts/lactose, light sticky spice and lingering drying. No cloying. Minimal warming 6% abv. Very smooth and mellow spice intensity. No complaints.

A fingers worth of crisp active light khaki colored froth... Solid retention... Color is a medium bronze with a light chill haze... Nose is 100% pure pumpkin pie, crust and all... Palate has a less sweet than expected and replaced by slightly burnt crust and a faint metallic presence... Medium bodied and sturdy with brisk carbonation throughout... A perfectly adequate fall seasonal but not any more than that...

Pours a cloudy dirty copper color with a finger of head. The nose is fairly muted - maybe a touch of tasted malt. The flavor has some subdued sweetness and a hint of gourd. The mouth feel is nicely creamy.

Poured into a goblet: color is copper, head is off white and presents 1/2 inch thick and then quickly dissipates to nothing with no lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is a little subdued at first but as it nears your mouth you can pick up the cinnamon/pumpkin roll concept - notes of cinnamon, clove, ginger, sweeter caramel malt, light toast and bread.
Taste is lightly sweet with the moderate cinnamon/ginger/clove mix, notes of caramel.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, lighter bitterness and not an overdone spicy dryness.
Overall a solid pumpkin style ale that is not overspiced; it is lightly sweet with a balanced spice blend.

ONE PINT can
Served in an imperial nonic pint glass
This beer pours a brilliant amber hue with burnt orange highlights. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves little lacing,
Nice meld of pumpkin spices and vanilla.
The taste follows the smell. Light pumpkin spice and vanilla.
Thin bodied with a thin mouthfeel
Pretty solid beer. I like the pumpkin roll take, featuring vanilla, on a pumpkin beer. Light on the pumpkin spice which I like.

Near-perfect pumpkin beer. The imperfections were nitpicking. Little to no foam head, yet still having more substance than a light beer. It's thick, but it just lacks a big head. Maybe it's because of how I poured it. Smells AMAZING. Think "edible potpourri." Normally potpourri smells inedible, yet pretty; this smells pleasantly edible (like walking by a donut/pastry shop) yet like pumpkin potpourri/perfume. Strong smell of vanilla, and cinnamon-clove-pumpkin. Tastes delish. Not too sweet, yet noticably sweet; not too anything for that matter. PERFECT. Nothing tastes artificial. I've had imperial pumpkin drinks and they all have a robitussin-pumpkin taste, this one does not. It is literally perfect. I'm surprised how much smell it has. (Edit: I checked some pictures, and remembered my first small pour: If you pour it to lessen foam, there will be little to no foam. If you pour it like juice/water, there will be a manageable head. That probably has something to do with the lactose.) 1:11AM this may be one of the best pumpkin ales on the market. Again, all natural. I can easily sense "artificial," and there was none here. 5 stars. 5 points to Gryffindor. lol Oh, I just remembered, it would be perfect if served in a bottle. I've noticed bottled and canned beer versions taste different. The aluminum gets into the drink a bit, like aluminum foil does for baked goods. ~Still lovely.
