An extremely crushable IPA, focusing on the juicy elements of hops rather than the bitterness.

Light gold color, which makes it look like a lager. Fine, creamy white head. Quite a light aroma, but a slightly grassy/floral aroma, with a touch of marzipan, in the aroma. Flavors are also light but good, herbal/floral, with a bit of a bite and light roasted grain underneath, during the taste.

It sure doesn't look like an IPA, at least by color and color density. Perhaps more Pilsner looking with a very light and translucent amber hue. Well, these are modern times. Unleashed from a pint can into a clear glass Imperial pint mug, it's a highly carbonated beverage and produces a foamy white head and lacing. The smell is closer to an IPA, but faint. The taste is even closer to a traditional IPA, with some sweet malts forward and a little hop bite after. But, this is far from an IPA, even an American IPA. The malt has sweetness without depth and complexity. It's more like a mass produced commercial lager and not much more. IPAs have their sweet side, of course, but it's usually more earthy and complex. The hoppiness that's there is more dry than bitter and in a beer this shallow, bitter would be welcomed. Modern IPA, huh? Be grateful many breweries are still doing it the old-fashioned way.

Bottle into pint glass. Pours a medium straw color with a thin off-white head. Initial impression is a light-bodied IPA with subdued notes of pineapple, mango, and orange. Mouthfeel is a little thin for my tastes. Finish is dry and refreshing. Overall, not bad but not something I'd seek out.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is straw gold, slight chill haze (not transparent), head is brighter white, mixed bubbles in the head, presents 1 inch thick then dissipates to top and some lacing.
Smell is subdued, minimal hops - maybe some grass or herbs, limited malt character, but no off flavors.
Taste has more working with it but still quite limited in character - hops are light citrus, some herbs, light grass - not pronounced; malt flavor is neutral/limited with just a hint of crackery flavor.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, moderate bitterness, light sweet lingering flavor.
Overall a somewhat bland IPA - nothing bad about it (no off flavors) but hops and malt just seem to never come forward.
