Poured into an imperial pint glass: color is gold to copper, slight haze, head is very light tan with fine to small bubbles, head presents two fingers thick, some spotty lacing.

Smell is subdued, light sweetness, a little candy like, maybe light toasted malt, some honey.

Taste is also not so dank, more sweet and candied, limited maltiness with light toast and touch of honey.

Mouthfeel is lower carbonation, moderate to strong sweetness, moderate bitterness.

Overall a bit disappointing in the 'dankness' - more sweet and candied, maybe an off can.

Dank Valley - from Rusty Rail. 16 fl oz can purchased from Franklin Beer Co, Franklin, PA, 06/05/24, $ 3.00 (Including tax), $ 0.188/fl oz. Reviewed 10/05/24 (Review 3275). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Undated can. Stored in reefer at the distributor, 34 degrees at home. Served at 43.7 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 50.7 degrees F.
Appearance – 4.25
First pour – Straw (SRM 3), slight haze.
Body – Pale Gold (SRM 4), opaque. Under direct light same with effervescence. When rear-lite, Pale Gold, translucent.
Head – Large (Maximum 4.5 cm, aggressive center pour), ivory, high density, average retention, leaving a 0.7 – 2.0 cm frothy crown and a frothy partial cap.
Lacing – Excellent! Coats the inside of the glass as it devolves into torn curtains.
Aroma – 4 – A bit oniony and mossy. No yeast, no malt, no alcohol (7.5 % ABV as marked on the label).
Flavor – 4 – Mild onions and some garlic. No yeast, no malt, no alcohol. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Slight gastric warming. Odd, slightly soggy taste.
Palate – 3.5 – Medium; watery; lively carbonation.
Final Impression and summation: 3.75 (After deducting 0.25 point for undated personal container) Distinctly dank but lacking crispness – quickly becomes boring.

16oz can into a pint glass. No freshness dating, but a recent release from RR.

Mixed look. Murky dull orange body, but the head retains superbly, leaving gobs of lacing. Aroma is earthy and hoppy.

Well described as a "Dank ipa". Earthy, piney, and a little bit of grapefruit lying under the pine assault. Very bitter. Mouth is medium, finish is a bitter pine/grapefruit duel. Malt presence is an afterthought.

Overall, pretty nice beer. Doubt a session of these would be a good idea, as abv is quite well hidden.
