Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is murky gold/amber, dense, head is off white/light tan with fine to small frothy bubbles, good lacing.
Smell is muddled malt and dark fruit, some plum and cherry notes, light belgian yeast spice and esters, touch of caramel.
Taste is more mixed notes of malt, light plum, cherry, no real brandy notes other than light booziness, belgian yeast spice and esters, light caramel.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, low bitterness but lingering belgian yeast bite and drying.
Overall a lightly sweet, notable dark fruit flavored strong belgian ale, not much brandy character and the finish is biting and drying.
