On tap at Casa. Per description: "stout aged on Arabica coffee with a hint of pepper"
Smell is Folgers brewed to espresso strength. Maybe a hint of pepper, but hard to be sure with coffee overwhelm. Taste is much smoother than expected. Coffee for sure, with roast, dark chocolate, and mild pepper. The pepper is definitely muted, but it's there, and pretty spot on in the context of the big-ass base beer. Speaking of which, I'd probably peg this as ~7% abv if I didn't know. Feel is medium and chalky. Overall, a good coffee beer, and fairly distinct from the several other pepper stouts I've had.
