Casa Agria Specialty Ales "Passion Pit"
on tap @ Interstate Drafhouse, Philadelphia, PA on 2 June 2018

Notes: OK, I've got this side by side with a glass of "Huesito". Both are made with apricots but this one also contains passion fruit. It's the same color but cloudier than the Huesito, and I think it might have a better head. I'm not finding the passion fruit in the aroma but it is sharper, and perhaps a bit more mineralish. Ahhh, the fruit is clearer in the flavor. There's a subtle spiciness to it. And yet the apricot remains clear. It's sweet but tart and then more acidic in the finish. Limited bitterness but dry, acidic finish that lingers with some fruit remaining. I'm not sure if Passion Pit is Huesito with passion fruit added but it seems like it. Either way, it's nicely done and refreshing.
