Copper Wings is an old tasting room favorite brewed with barley, wheat, and oats. The hops shine through the soft palate led by a large amount of Michigan Copper and backed up by Mosaic and Falconer’s Flight.

16oz can, served in a snifter glass. Pours a cloudy golden yellow body, one and half finger white head, good retention, lots of lacing. Smell is citrus, tropical fruit, soft caramel, a bit of oranges and more grapefruit with a little bit of white sugar sprinkled on top. Minerals. Flavour follows; oranges and grapefruit, a slight resin, white sugar, caramel sweetness to balance things out. No heat. Slightly spicy, with some tropical fruit in the mix. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, reasonably carbonated and soft, mild-moderate resin and zesty bitterness on the backend. Tasty IPA indeed, I didn't need to think too hard about this one to enjoy it as it hits all the right notes.
