Canned 03/12/19.
Golden yellow pour. Thin gobs of white lace bubble up but fizzle out quickly. Some slow lace separation but nothing sticking to the glass.
Lots of pineapple and citrus on the nose. Good tropical essence with a good amount of grapefruit and tangerine aromas as well. Undertones of floral aromatic hops really give those Comet hops a nice influence here as well. Really great booziness on the nose as it warms.
Good contrast of flavors from the nose. The hops shine here, with a distinct grassiness to compliment the more bitter side of grapefruit as well as a subtly piney, bitter finish. The hops leave a distinct bitter warmth in the back of the throat, but in all the best ways possible. As the sharp influence of those predominant Comet hops fade, Citra re-enters the picture to leave a sweet, tropical pineapple softness on the palate.
Good soft mouthfeel, but with a a low, sharp carbonation that balances well. Slight sticky mouth-coating in the finish, but nice and smooth throughout.
