That was cool that time these dudes had like free shipping if you spent like $45. Picked this up as part of that.
Pours the most familiar of all beer colors, dark gold, mild clarity, mild head 1/4". For something with flaked oats and wheat, it is about the highest degree of clarity you can associate with that style/vibe. Has more Amarillo than Mosaic, but both pop nose wise with their goodness. Mango, papaya, grapefruit, orange, blackberry, weed kind of hop aromas.
Taste is plenty delicious, they really found a Goldilocks like zone for both taste and bitterness, hitting those middle zone strides. Hides the alcohol very well, yet another scary 8% kind of dipa banger going on here. Manages to still have a light crispness body wise, doesn't get flabby. Well carbonated. This is a good hybrid kind of ipa and belongs in a discussion in the very good just under elite tier jam.
These were worth the price of admission (4/$20) especially with free shipping.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on November 12, 2019. A double IPA brewed with malted wheat, flaked oats, dextrin malt and dextrose. Fermented with an expressive yeast strain and dry-hopped with German Amarillo T-45 pellets, Mosaic and Vic Secret. The aroma is filled with dank berries and melon. The body is super soft with light stone fruit that follows big tropical punch flavors.

Canned 9/25/19, 'DONT BLINK'.
Pours a fairly dull golden yellow, with thin, frothy head. It rises only about a quarter inch above the beer, but as it settles there is some good lace patterning around the inside of the glass.
Very aromatic beer; there's a lot of dank pithy hops straight away. As it has time to open up a bit, those T-45 pellets become crazy prominent, bringing about aromatics of candied grapefruit, overripe mango, and fruit punch. The original dankness is quickly replaced, and on the back end I really am only getting mild, grassy hops punching through that potent, fruity predominance.
A uniquely hopped beer that brings about some interesting characteristics on the palate. Very citrus-heavy, with floral bittering hops coming forward initially. Underripe pineapple and piney hops are prevalent, showcasing that Vic Secret inclusion. Great contrast from the nose.
Fairly thin-bodied, with a sharp, effervescent carbonation. Drinks pretty clean, yet with a fairly aggressive booziness on the back end. With the malted wheat and flaked oats I would have expected a bit softer of a mouthfeel, but it doesn't take much away from apparent quality of this beer.
