Casa del Norte is a Hazy American IPA whose name is a nod to where our home is. Del Norte Boulevard points us to the mountains of north county every day and serves as a reminder to get outside. Brewed with Oats and Wheat this one was dry hopped with a mountainous addition of Nelson, Citra, Ekuanot, and Simcoe. Tropical fruit dominates the aromatics followed by sweet lemon, and juicy tangerine. The medium body is full enough without being sweet and the flavors are an equal blend of citrus and stone fruit. Lead the way and we will find it together!

Single 16oz can picked up at Cheap Charlie's in Gresham, OR; first experience with Casa Agria
Poured into a Bissell Brothers tulip
p- hazy pale-ish orange w/ a small white cap
n- soft-med aroma of melon, green hops, and milk sugar
t- profile is on the subtle side; green hops prevalent at first; citrus and a touch of dankness come out after a few sips; smooth lactose rounds things out as it warms
mf- med-full bodied with med carb
o- an alright NE IPA, but nothing super memorable; was hoping it would have a little more oomph, so-to-speak; grew on me as I drank, though

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy and a bit pale whitish yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass and some lacing down the sides.
S: Moderate aromas of eucalyptus are present in the nose along with notes of gooseberry and lime.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of lychee. Little to no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has an interesting mix of aromas and flavors. I particularly liked how the aromas and flavors of the Equanot hops stood out.

Opaque yellow, white foam.
Doesn't jump at me but I'm getting some Nelson.
Nelson stands out amongst subtle note of pine.
Very clean finish, I rather NEIPAs that stain.

Sweet, white wine grape, grapefruit citrus, tropical hoppy, and nice and dank nose on this one! Taste follows exactly with a well-balanced swallow...everything plays so well together! Really good mouthfeel and depth on this single. This is good!
