Had on tap. Pitch brown almost opaque body with a tiny beige ring. Nose is boozy and roasted nuts up front, dark fruit, barley and rugged oak and earth support. Taste is uber boozy! Roasted dark nuts, wouldn't know it was supposed to be hazelnut, is made stronger by the booze, together they dominate with cocoa and oak being the only challengers, odd. Feel is hot and roasty, the true achilles heal of this one, the idea of roasted hazelnut with ba barleywine was intriguing but it ended up being too much harshness on hotness
