This is a medium bodied English style beer, with a reddish color. Brewed with in house toasted malt, brown sugar, a pinch of cinnamon, and a lot of love. This beer’s warm malt character and dry finish is sure to please.

On-tap at the brewpub.

Pours a clear purple-black color with a one-finger tan head. The head dissipates into a wispy layer of bubbles on top leaving fair lacing.

Smells of spices and husky malts. The spices seem more on par with a pumpkin ale than with a winter warmer - nutmeg and anise with hints of cinnamon - but I like it.

Tastes similar to how it smells. Sweet malts up front are quickly followed by the same spices present in the aroma. This tastes lighter than many other of the style.

Mouthfeel is good. It's a bit thin, but the carbonation is good and it manages to go down pretty smoothly.

Drinkability is good. I enjoyed one of these, but many more might be a bit much.

Overall this was a solid winter warmer. On the lighter side in mouthfeel and taste this seems like more of a late autumn warmer. Either way, it's worth trying.
