This exceptional beer is reddish amber in color with a medium body. Generously spiced and brewed with fresh pumpkin which is sliced, baked and mashed right here. This ale boasts an indisputable pumpkin pie character.

Cask at Aroma's in Athens, GA. Apparently this it the third iteration of their pumpkin beer, and the one with the most actual pumpkin in the mash.
Pours a hazy orange-copper color with a one-finger off-white head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving solid lacing.
Smells of spices - nutmeg and allspice with hints of cinnamon - along with a good deal of substantive pumpkin.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Sweet malt flavors serve as a background for an amalgamation of spices and strong hints of pumpkin. The ending is crisp and leaves hints of spices lingering on the palate.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with smooth carbonation.
Drinkability is good. I didn't have a problem finishing my glass and could have another.
Overall I thought this was one of the better pumpkin beers I've had this season. I'll be interesting in trying to taste the other versions of their pumpkin beer, and I'd be willing to bet that they're all worth a shot.
