Our German style beer traditionally brewed in Dusseldorf, is amber in color with a medium-light body. “Alt” means old in German. Implying the old tradition of ale brewing. Cold maturation and Munich Malt lend to this beers crisp malt character with a slight hop balance that finishes dry and clean.

On-tap at the brewpub.
Pours a clear amber-brown color with a one-finger cream-colored head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving solid lacing.
Smells of robust caramel malt flavors with good amounts of toasted flavors. Hints of crisp mineral aromas and sticky toffee waft out on occasion.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Large, sweet caramel malt flavors kick things off and quickly dry out a bit with the addition of toasted malts. Midway through the sip very light hints of leafy hop flavors work their way into things before sweetening up a bit with toffee flavors before a mildly bitter ending.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with active carbonation.
Drinkability is also good. I had no problems finishing my glass and could have another.
Overall this was a very well done beer for a style of which I'm normally not terribly fond. The malt flavors are very crisp and just the right amount of hop influence makes this one well worth a shot.

I really loved this beer. When I was in Athens, I tried it at the Classic City Brew fest, then had a few more pints of it at the brewpub afterward. Instead of the boring, bland, thin light brown ale that most breweries seem to want to pass off as alts, Copper Creek brewed a clean, crisp ale with a very noticeable hop bite. Quite drinkable and quite tasty.
